I bought this roofrack just over a year ago from a friend for the stately sum of $25. Its an original German piece thats seen better days. It was made by a company called Herkules, and the version I have was meant for a car with a slide back canvas sunroof, more pictures and history here. I've sourced teak for the slats, and I've chosen to go much wider than original - it just feels so much more substantial that way. I should be getting the parts - I partially disassembled it - back from the powder coater this week. I'll assemble it with stainless steel nuts and bolts, and go to Circle City's Volktoberfest in October (hopefully).
